Alhamdulillah, the Moroccan Evening was a great success- for both MSquared and Mardrassah Fatima Tuz Zahra. It was so exciting to see everyone dressed in their best Moroccan garb- or the best version of Morroccan they knew! You know an event was a hit when everyone involved had a good time: and that is definitely true for friday night.
Planning this event- and especially designing the outfits for it- was so fun. And I hope to make this an annual event, insha-Allah...So for everyone who didn't get a chance to come this year, you have next year to make up for it!
Of course, the evening couldn't have been the success it was without some very important people, and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank them:
To my mom, for supporting me and putting my designs together;
To my friends, Fatima and Aaisha, for doing the model's make-up;
Ayeshah Sardien, for directing the routine;
To all the models who volunteered- they really made the show!
And to Aishah Cassiem, for the amazing photographs which I will be posting soon, insha-Allah.
May Allah reward each of you for efforts, Ameen.
To everyone that didn't make it to the event on friday, I'll be hosting an Open House Show this weekend, where both fridays designs and my winter range will be showcased- I hope to see you there, insha-Allah.
